Protect your home from water damage

Gutter Clearing

Every property done properly on every visit.

Blocked gutters are one of the most common, and most overlooked, causes of damp, leaks, and structural damage in UK homes. We clear them thoroughly, flush the downpipes, and leave everything free-flowing. No ladders left against your property, no mess left behind.

Common questions

Are hopper heads included?
Hopper heads, the open collector boxes at the top of some downpipes, sit outside the normal gutter run and usually need ladder work to clear properly. We work from the ground wherever we can, so hopper heads are priced as an extra when your property has them. We'll point them out and confirm the price before we start.
What happens to the debris?
We bag it up and leave it neatly with your household waste. We don't currently carry waste away, that needs a waste carrier licence, but we never leave mess behind: the bags are sealed and the site is left tidy.
How often should gutters be cleared?
Twice a year is the industry recommendation for most UK homes, once in late autumn after the leaves have fallen, and once in early spring. Homes surrounded by trees, or in areas with heavy moss on the roof, may need it more frequently as debris washes in faster.
What happens if gutters are left blocked?
Blocked gutters overflow onto walls and foundations, leading to damp patches on internal walls and ceilings, cracked render, and in serious cases, foundation erosion. The cost of repairing damp damage far outweighs the cost of a routine clear. It's one of the most cost-effective maintenance jobs you can do.
Do I need to be home for the job?
Not necessarily. We usually only need access to the exterior of the property. We'll confirm exactly what we need when you book. Most jobs are completed without you needing to be in.
What if you find a damaged section?
We'll flag any issues we notice (cracked sections, sagging joints or loose brackets) and let you know so you can decide on next steps. We won't carry out additional work without your agreement.
