Plain English. We only collect what we need to do the job — and we never sell or share your data for marketing.

1. Who we are
Ace Clean & Maintenance Ltd (trading as Ace Exterior) is the data controller for any personal data you give us. We're registered in England & Wales and operate across Nottingham and surrounding areas.
2. What we collect
We only collect what we need to provide our cleaning services:
- Your name
- Your property address (so we know where to clean)
- Your phone number (for booking confirmations and updates)
- Your email address (for receipts and quotes)
- Job details you share (e.g. property size, photos for quotes)
- Payment information — handled directly by Stripe (we never see card numbers)
We don't use cookies for tracking. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking on this website.
3. Why we collect it
To do our job, basically. Specifically:
- To give you a quote and book the work
- To turn up at the right address on the right day
- To take payment and send you a receipt
- To send appointment reminders (usually the evening before)
- To follow up on the satisfaction guarantee if needed
Lawful basis: contract performance (we need this data to deliver the service you've booked) and legitimate interests (running our business).
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your data and we don't share it for marketing. The only third parties who see your data are the service providers that help us run the business:
- Stripe — processes your payments. Stripe sees your name, email, and card details. They're a regulated payment provider. Stripe's privacy policy.
- Resend — sends quote and receipt emails on our behalf. They see your email address only. Resend's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts our website and stores form submissions temporarily. They see standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for a short period. Vercel's privacy policy.
- HMRC / accountant — invoice records are kept as required by UK tax law.
5. How long we keep it
- Active customer details — kept while you're a customer plus 12 months
- Quote requests that don't convert — deleted after 12 months
- Invoices and payment records — kept for 6 years (HMRC requirement)
- Server logs — kept for up to 30 days
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the data we hold on you
- Correct — update anything that's wrong
- Delete — ask us to remove your data (where legally possible)
- Object — to any processing you're uncomfortable with
- Portability — receive your data in a usable format
- Complain — to the ICO if you think we've mishandled your data

7. How we keep it safe
- This website is served over HTTPS (encrypted)
- Customer data is stored on secure UK/EU servers
- Card payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers
- Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to do the job
8. Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first — we'd much rather sort it out directly. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office:
